Basics and Rules of Frisbee Golf

Purpose of the Game

Frisbee golf is a game with easy-to-learn basics, but mastering it requires practice. The principle of frisbee golf is similar to “ball golf.” Instead of balls and clubs, frisbee golf uses plastic frisbees of various sizes and weights. The hole in ball golf is replaced by a basket in frisbee golf. The player who completes the course with the fewest throws is the winner.

Game Rules

  1. The goal of the game is to get the frisbee into the basket with the fewest throws from the starting point.
  2. After the opening throw, the player farthest from the basket continues first. The next throw is made from where the previous throw landed. The player throws until the frisbee is in the basket.
  3. Once the frisbee leaves the hand, the player may step over it. A throw made 10 meters or closer is a putt and may not be stepped over.
  4. A hole is completed when the frisbee is in the basket.
  5. The winner is the player who completes the entire course or the agreed number of baskets with the fewest throws.
  6. Be considerate of other players on the course and leave it in good condition for others. Whatever you carry into nature, you should also take back – do not leave trash behind!
  7. Trees and bushes are part of the course. Cutting or bending them is prohibited.
  8. Frisbee golf is not serious – the most important thing is to have fun!

Guidelines for Frisbee Golf Course Users

  • Moving in the terrain is at your own risk!
  • You are responsible for every frisbee you throw.
  • A frisbee can cause serious injury if it hits people or objects.

Warning

  • If a frisbee is in danger of hitting another person, warn by loudly shouting “fore” (“FOOOOR!”).
  • When runners are present, you can also use other warning shouts.

Be Careful When Throwing!

  • Do not throw if the group ahead is still putting at the basket.
  • Do not throw if the basket is not visible; ensure there are no players in front of the basket.
  • Do not throw if the frisbee is in danger of hitting nearby people or animals.
  • Do not throw if the fairway is being mowed or other maintenance activities are taking place.
