Carpet‐Washing Site & Water Point
In Rautavaara municipality there is a carpet-washing site at Koulutie 4, 73900 Rautavaara. Use of the site is free of charge, and it serves both locals and visitors. Please note that the site cannot be booked in advance—other users should be taken into account.
Adjacent to the carpet-washing site is a free cold water point, available for visitors and residents for occasional drinking and domestic water needs.

Availability
The carpet-washing site is available during the summer season, from spring through to autumn. It opens in spring when the weather permits and closes in autumn before frosts arrive.
Available every day from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm (Monday through Sunday).

To ensure the site stays clean and pleasant for everyone, please observe the following:
- Use permitted only for washing carpets and other textiles.
- Make sure to turn off the taps properly after use.
- Keep the area tidy and take possible rubbish with you.
- Do not leave carpets drying longer than your stay allows.
- The facility operates on mutual responsibility—no prior reservation; please be considerate of other users.
- Waste water must be drained into the sewer system—do not let wash water run into natural waterways.
