Dog Forest in Rautavaara

Rautavaara’s Dog Forest is a fenced natural woodland area of approximately 300 square metres, designed for exercising dogs and allowing them to socialise safely with others.

The site is located opposite Tapiola Field at Kirkkotie 13, 73900 Rautavaara. It is open to all dog owners, including visitors from outside the municipality. The Dog Forest is maintained by the Municipality of Rautavaara.

Rules of use

To ensure a safe and pleasant experience for everyone, the following rules apply:

• Use of the Dog Forest is at the owner’s own risk.

• All dogs must have up-to-date vaccinations.

• Dogs must remain under the supervision and responsibility of their owner or handler at all times.

• Aggressive behaviour is not permitted – dogs must behave appropriately towards both people and other dogs.

• Owners are required to clean up after their dogs. Tools (shovels and rakes) are provided by the fence to assist with this.

• A dedicated waste bin is available inside the enclosure near the entrance gate.
